Web Application Programming
Web programmers develop, test and maintain the interactive components found in Web-type environments. These are included in applications such as shopping carts, course management systems, online greeting cards, online games and more. As the trend continues to move core applications off of personal computers and onto the Internet and intranet environments, the value of skilled Web programmers increases.

Students gain practical hands-on experience in computer laboratories at Washington State. Curriculum includes Web page design, open source programming languages and databases, .NET programming, Java, Flash, JavaScript, operating systems and diagnostics, and server administration.
The US Department of Labor reported in May 2007 on the Bureau of Labor Statistics website that the 4th fastest growing occupations between 2006-20016 are Computer Software Engineers, applications programmers and related professionals.

Successful completion of the Web programming program leads to an Associate of Applied Business degree.
